Learn to paint

with Scott Christensen

You don’t need a lot of gear to create stunning paintings – but there may be some items that you don’t already have, and that’s what this page is all about. Here I’ve listed exactly what I use with links to make it easy for you. Some of these are affiliate links where I may receive a small commission however the reason they are on the page is because I use the product and recommend it – and I don’t think you’ll get it cheaper anywhere else. Please scroll down to the bottom where I recommend other various books and websites that have really helped me along the way.

CHROMA ATELIER FREE FLOW FLUID ACRYLIC PAINTS

Choose which you prefer to work with: A thicker heavy-body paint or a thinner free-flow paint. They both work well and can be mixed together with no problems. The thicker body paint needs more water and medium, but gives you a bit more control when mixing colours. I like to work with both make the choice depending on what I am about to paint

Turning Pro – Steve Pressfield

I really enjoyed this audio book. It tells Steve’s own story of about turning his life and career around as a writer when he decided – to turn pro. Any creative that wants to go full time should read this.

Time Warrior – Steve Chandler

I love this book and most of Steve’s other stuff. This is a great set of ideas for creatives that don’t work nine to five, and can’t stand to feel locked into society’s time driven mundane existence. Really powerful – read this one with an open mind. Steve has plenty of other mind cracking audios to help you break through mental barriers that may be holding you back.
