We were thrilled to have Scott Christensen join our team here at The Australian School of the Arts. Scott developed and created an exciting landscape/seascape painting course. He guided our students from investigating differing styles of landscape, to prepping canvas, through the painting techniques to finishing a piece, ready for our exhibition opening which was attended by family, friends and college officials. Scott’s knowledge and insights were remarkable and his strategies fast tracked the students to incredible results. I recommend Scott’s learning methods. Scott Christensen comes with my highest recommendation, not only as an outstanding artist and a leader in his field, but also as a complete professional in every sense of the word. So impressed was I with Scott’s work that I commissioned him to do all of the artwork for our new LINQ Precinct and Administration Building at Sheldon College. From there we engaged Scott to teach the students through our professional incursion program and through our Australian School of the Arts program. His artistic work has greatly enhanced our new state-of-the-art facilities, and is always a source of animated discussion as to its alluring beauty and pure aesthetics.

My wife was introduced to Scott’s work while filming an episode for The Great South East (Now called Great Day Out on Chanel 7) and we bought 2 pieces. His lovely family delivered them to our home. I first met Scott nearly 10 years ago. Having been a local SE Qlder all my life, his artwork reminded me of holidays, those first steps on the beach in the morning and so many family memories in the ocean. I became a instant fan and have continued to follow Scott’s work ever since now owning many of his his originals and print pieces. In recent years, I have got the chance to have many a chat to Scott and always love it when his van, surf boards piled in the back with his artwork, arrives in my driveway to deliver me another memory to hang on the wall! …An round great family bloke and magnificent artist. Scott’s paintings really capture the whole essence of the coastal area and its relaxed spirit. We’ve put one up in our beach house at Byron Bay and it just embodies the spirit of Byron so beautifully. It’s a gorgeous painting to look at and we couldn’t resist buying it. I make and design jewellery and so we’re both in the art field, but what he does is incredible. Scott’s got a real creative gift and I’m so glad he’s pursuing it. I also like the fact that you could actually be talking to the artist, it was so nice to have actually met him and see all his work. He’s a really talented emerging artist to watch and he’s got a great future. We thought his work was under priced.
